It all begins with an idea.
ESG reporting can often be fraught with difficulties, not least because of the differing routes that companies can take towards reporting. The inevitability of standardarised reporting came a little bit closer today as GRI and B Lab announced a new collaboration. Collaboration is the corner-stone of sustainability and it is good to see that the ambiguities of data collection around ESG requirements are easing. As COP 26 approaches, and the chatter around new country and corporate goal setting increases, standardisation will be something that all interested parties will be looking towards to make reporting transparent and uniform.
